Q - Why did we open All Day Water?
A - We recently moved into the Rose Valley area of West Kelowna and quickly realized that the water coming out of our home taps was simply not drinkable. We sourced 5-gallon refillable water jugs from a purified water refill store in Kelowna. However, after our jugs ran dry, we struggled to find any local stores with refill options that fit our busy schedule. We decided to change that with All Day Water—a place where locals can refill water any time of the day.
Q - Did West Kelowna just open up a brand-new water treatment plant?
A - Yes, but residents are still not receiving clean water. Despite spending over 75 million taxpayer dollars on the new Rose Valley water treatment plant, the tap water remains undrinkable. Water entering homes is often brown and reeks of heavy chlorination. Several attempts have allegedly been made by the city to address these issues, but they persist, with no resolution in sight.
Q - What is Reverse Osmosis (RO)?
A - Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses pressure to force water molecules through a semipermeable membrane, effectively removing contaminants.
Q - Can you explain how your Reverse Osmosis system works?
A - Our Reverse Osmosis water undergoes a rigorous multi-step purification process to ensure exceptional quality:
Pre-Filtration
Water passes through industrial grade carbon charcoal filtration and dual water softeners to remove large impurities and reduce hardness.
Advanced Filtration
Water is further processed through a dual high-grade carbon & sediment removal system, eliminating additional particulate matter and contaminants.
Reverse Osmosis Purification
Water is purified using commercial grade, multi-chamber reverse osmosis membranes, which remove 99.9% of impurities, including:
Dissolved and suspended particles
Bacteria and viruses (e.g., E. coli)
Chemicals such as chlorine, fluoride, pesticides, fertilizers, and residual pharmaceuticals
UV Disinfection & Storage
Purified water is exposed to a commercial-grade UV light to inactivate any remaining microorganisms.
It is stored in commercial-grade holding tanks, ready for final dispensing.
Final Polishing & Dispensing
Before dispensing, water passes through:
An oversized post-sediment filter
A carbon filter for fine polishing
An additional UV light inside each dispensing machine for ultimate purity
Q - What is being filtered out of the water?
A - Our Reverse Osmosis procedure removes:
Dissolved salts, such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and sulfates
Chemicals, including chlorine, chloramines, fluoride, pesticides, herbicides, and volatile organic compounds (e.g., benzene and toluene)
Heavy metals, such as lead, chromium, and copper
Biological contaminants, including bacteria, viruses, and protozoa
Particulate matter, such as sediment, silt, and suspended solids
Pharmaceuticals, including hormones and antibiotics
Radiological elements, such as radium and uranium
Q - What types of payment do you accept?
A - We accept cash, credit, and debit as forms of payment.
Q - Where are you located?
A - We are conveniently located in the Okanagan Lake Shopping Center at 525 Highway 97, West Kelowna.
Free parking
Easy access
Same building as the Shell gas station
Q - Is All Day Water a franchise?
A - No. All Day Water was built and is run by a local couple who wanted clean drinking water for their growing family.
